Leather-faced trim component manufacturing process consists of sticking a layer of impermeable plastic to the back of the leather pieces (16) forming the surface of a trim component, sewing them together and fitting against the inner wall of a mould section (10) used to shape the component's outer surface. The seams, adjacent plastic surfaces and edges are then sprayed with a plastic material (18, 26, 28) before a rigid support is fitted and the space between the support and covering material is filled with a plastic foam.
