A method for obtaining powder rust modifier, which comprises washing original raw material (hydrolysis lignin) with water during 8-16 hours, at that residues of sulfate acid are removed, then the washed lignin is dried to the humidity of 15 %, thereafter the dried raw material is loaded to the ball mill and grounding of lignin is carried out successively during 4 hours and modified during 2 hours with 25 % aqueous solution of ammonia, which is delivered to the mill at an amount to 4 % by weight. The manufacturing process is carried out at the environment temperature between 5 and 50 DEGREE C.
