METHOD FOR ISOLATING A RADIOACTIVE CORE

The proposed method for isolating a radioactive core consists in covering the core by thin-wall spherical covers, which are made of ferromagnetic alloy with cadmium coating. On the internal surface of the cover, recesses with notches are made. The height of the column of the covers is such that the minimal distance from the core to the external cover is equal to 5 à 8 diameters of the largest cover. The thickness of the cover wall must be sufficient to prevent the deformation of the core under weight of the other covers.
