Disclosed is a method for forming a phosphor screen with metal back which comprises a step for forming a phosphor layer (10) on the inner surface of a face plate (8); a step wherein a transfer film (1) comprising a base film (2) and at least a release agent layer (3), a smooth resin film (4) and an adhesive layer (5) sequentially formed on the base film (2) is arranged on the phosphor layer (10) and then pressed and adhered thereto while being heated by a transfer roller (7), so that the resin film is transferred to the phosphor layer; a step for forming a metal film over the thus-transferred resin film; and a step for heat treating the face plate on which the metal film is formed.
