The block (12) has a body (14) fixed on covering sections of a telescopic type swimming pool shelter. The body has a rolling unit constituted of a housing receiving a wheel (20) that rotates around a horizontal axle (22) on a support, and a guiding unit constituted of a housing (26) for a roller (27) rotating around an axle (28). The guiding unit guides the sections between covering and opening positions of the shelter. An independent claimS is also included for a telescopic type swimming pool shelter comprising a covering section and a functional block.
