The block (12) has a body (14) fixed on covering sections of a telescopic type swimming pool shelter and comprising a housing receiving a wheel (20) movable around a horizontal axle traversing the housing. The body has guiding units constituted of a housing (26) for a roller (27) movably rotating around an axle (28). The guiding units guide one of the sections relative to the other section in a translation direction of the sections, between covering and opening positions of the shelter. An independent claim is also included for a telescopic type swimming pool shelter having covering sections.
