The case has four lateral walls integrated with each other. A lock has a notch in the longitudinal lateral wall (7) of a base (2) to define a pin (22). A cover has a cut (25, 26) which delimits a retainer (24). The cut crosses a crossing edge to form a portion which is movable towards the interior of the cover to form an opening for engagement of the pin. The pin is engaged in the retainer when the base is closed by the cover. An independent claim is also included for a packaged blank folded and cut to constitute a cover and a base of a case in a carton.
