METHOD FOR MODELING LUNG EMPHYSEMA IN RATS

摘要

The method for modeling the lung emphysema in the rats comprises the broadening of the distal parts of the respiratory bronchioles by means of the substances inducing destructive and necrotic alterations in the interalveolar septum followed by its rupture. With this aim in view, 0.01% solution of strontium acetate is administered by inhalation followed by inactivation of the catabolism of surfactant, in particular phospholipase A2, and broadening the respiratory bronchioles for preserving the structure of the interalveolar septum.
