The LV busbars (24) are mounted vertically within a fixed frame (26,28) closed at the front by a protective screen (14) perforated with orifices (30) arranged, in horizontal rows, in vertical columns aligned with the busbars. The support chassis (20) carries on an insulating base (46) 3 connecting bars (48,50,52), whose bent ends (56) are aligned with the busbars, the other ends being connected to equipment, e.g. a circuit-breaker, mounted on the chassis front (54). These bars, in the same vertical plane, lie opposite successive orifice rows. Double-ended jaw sets (18) mounted on an interface plate (16) pass through the corresponding orifices and connect each bar (56) to the associated busbar. The interface plate carries two guide rods (60,62) whose entry into holes in the screen (54,55) and support (68,70) ensures correct alignment. After assembly, the chassis is bolted through side flanges (32,34) to the busbar frame (26,28). Versions with detachable and withdrawable chassis are also described.
