The flame monitoring switch for a burner has an ionization electrode (3) and an evaluation switch (1) to produce a digital output signal. The ionization electrode and the signal input for the evaluation switch are connected to a shunt resistor (Rshunt) for disconnection of the compensating flow mantle ionization flow proportional signal.
