A method for the application of protective coating of surfaces comprises sputtering film formers, pigments and silicon-containing components. The sputtering is carried out sequentially in several layers, first of which is formed by sputtering composition. Thereafter granules of dye-stuff are longitudinally rubbed in. Rubbing in is repeated at an angle of 45 DEGREE , thereafter it is covered with protective varnish, fixed and color depth is imparted to the formed pattern with two layers of mixture of varnish with acid hardener and dissolvent. The visual combination of formed tone pattern with general background of surface is strengthened by at least two layers of varnish, with drying every layer. Coating forming is finished by sputtering 4 layers of mixture of varnish and dissolvent in similar time and temperature modes.
