METHOD FOR DETERMINING DESTRUCTIVENESS OF A STRUCTURAL ELEMENT

The proposed method for determining the degree of the destruction of a structural element that is caused by the accumulation of the defects of the element during the operation consists in controlling the mechanical characteristics of the material of the element. The method is distinctive by using a vibration resonance deformation transducer that is displaced over the surface of the element by an electromechanical device. The output signal of the transducer is proportional to the deformation. The data that are obtained when controlling the structural element are used to determine the parameters that characterize the nonuniformity of deformations at certain areas of the controlled surface. The said parameters are used to determine the degree of the destruction of the material of the structural element.
