[Also in Group XL (a)] In a nuclear reactor steam raising plant, the steam raising tubing banks c, b are mounted within a duct a, through which flows the reactor coolant in the direction F. The economizer b is supplied by. the pump f with water from a condenser (not shown), which after leaving b flows through the evaporator C. Alternatively, water may pass directly to c through the tube j and by-pass l, thus by-passing the evaporator b. The valves g, m control the proportions flowing through b and c.
