<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous secondary battery which is excellent in reliability and safety. <P>SOLUTION: This is the non-aqueous secondary battery, and a negative electrode containing an electrode active material having overall composition Li<SB>x</SB>M<SP>1</SP>M<SP>2</SP>S<SB>3-y</SB>O<SB>y</SB>is disclosed. In the formula, 0≤x≤2, and 0≤y<3.
