<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can reduce deterioration in the image quality of an edge part of an image when carrying out magnification processing and decrease the cost. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus carrying out the magnification processing of image data is characterized by including: an edge part detection means 131 for detecting the edge part of the image in image data on the basis of pixel values of pixels; an edge part enhancing means 150 for enhancing the edge part of the image detected by the edge part detection means 131; and a magnification processing means 141 for magnifying the image data whose edge part is enhanced by the edge part emphasis means 150 at a designated magnification factor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
