<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security operation device for an elevator, enabling appropriate security operation in accordance with the number of users. <P>SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive sensor 1 for detecting the number of passengers is arranged in an elevator landing side. By detecting whether or not the number of elevator users is one or plural during every-floor stop operation of the elevator and outputting a signal to a control device 2 of the elevator in conjunction with registration of a car call registration button 3 on the landing by elevator users, direct operation is performed when the number of users is one and every-floor stop operation is performed when the number of users is plural.
