PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable document registration from not only devices within the same LAN as a document management system but also all devices in an environment accessible to the Internet and Web services, and to dispense with manual address registration to a device by a user. SOLUTION: The document registration system for registering images transmitted from a device to an optional document management system comprises a means for being connected with Web services on a network and the Internet; a means for receiving images from devices on the network; an UI for designating the Web service or a document registration destination; and a means for transmitting information or image data to the Web services. One or a plurality of the Web services are linked, whereby image data transmitted from the devices are registered to the document management system while adding additive values to the image data.
