PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute information to many unspecified wireless terminals not associated with access points by distributing the information to the wireless LAN terminals by using a radio wave beacon. SOLUTION: In the event information distribution system disclosed herein, the event information distribution system 1, one ore more enterprises 2, a plurality of wireless LAN access points 4, and event information reception terminals 5 are interconnected via the Internet 7. The wireless LAN access points 4 configure hot spots in each area, and the wireless LAN terminals within a range of radio waves can be connected to the Internet 7 via the access points 4. Further, the hot spots may be configured in a mobile means such as a train and a taxi in addition to spots in streets, a building, and a station or the like, or may adopt a membership system. Or the hot spots may be a form wherein many unspecified users can utilize at no cost.
