PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of sufficiently attaining reflection density of a toner image, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device 30 has a fixing film 31, a pressure roller 32, a heating body 33 which heats a nip region where the fixing film 31 and pressure roller 32 are pressed against each other, and a film guide 34 which guides the fixing film 31. A portion of the part of the film guide 34 which is disposed downstream from the nip region in the conveying direction of a recorded material is formed to be disposed on the side of the pressure roller 32 with respect to a tangent T at the center of the nip region or on the tangent T. The fixing film 31 rotates nearby the pressure roller 32 along the pressure roller 32 downstream from the nip region in the conveying direction of the recorded material, which is conveyed by a designated distance while its surface is in contact with the surface of the fixing film 31 after passing through the nip region.
