PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a voltage between both ends of one device by controlling a current flowing through the device or measure a current flowing through the device by controlling the voltage between both ends of the device. SOLUTION: This circuit 50 for measuring a voltage between both ends of one device 52 by controlling a current flowing through the device or measuring a current flowing through the device by controlling the voltage between both ends of the device includes a sense impedance 54 serially combined with the device; an error amplifier 56 capable of selecting the current or the voltage to be controlled for controlling them for providing error signals for their control; and a floating buffer 64 for driving the serial combination in response to the error signals.
