PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film exhibiting excellent air permeability even in case of being used for applications involving secondary processing such as printing, laminating with a nonwoven fabric, etc. SOLUTION: This polyethylene-based porous film is obtained by at least uniaxially stretching an unoriented film made of a resin composition comprising 40-60 mass% of a polyethylene-based resin and 60-40 mass% of an inorganic filler, where the polyethylene-based resin comprises 40-70 mass% of a linear low density polyethylene having a melt index higher than 3.0 g/10 min but not higher than 10 g/10 min and density of 0.930-0.950 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and 60-30 mass% of a linear low density polyethylene having a melt index higher than 0.1 g/10 min but not higher than 3.0 g/10 min and density of 0.910-0.950 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
