PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a cluster gear with a simple configuration, the cluster gear having a gear formed by the extrusion forming process and a portion to be machined, which portion is formed so as to have a diameter different from that of the gear, and is arranged next to the gear in the axial direction, and can accurately machined afterward. SOLUTION: The cluster gear having the first gear G1 and the portion to be machined G2 having the diameter different from that of the first gear G1 is manufactured by a first step for forming a blank material W which has a stem portion Wa, a large diameter portion Wb composing the first gear G1 and the portion to be machined G2, and a circumferential recessed portion 1 formed on the inside of an end face in the radial direction on the side to form the first gear G1 of the large diameter portion Wb, a second step for forming the first gear G1 on one end of the large diameter portion Wb in the axial direction by extruding the blank material W, and also for forming a plane 2, which is perpendicular to the axial direction, by coining the end face having the circumferential recessed portion 1 of the first gear G1 formed thereon, and a third step for machining the portion to be machined G2 by bringing the plane 2, as an axial reference surface, into contact with an axial datum SA.
