The antenna has a set of emitter units (3) arranged over a reference body surface (2) and spaced apart from one another. Sensors (9, 9`) are provided for measuring and calibrating amplitude and/or phase of the respective emitter units. Each emitter unit is assigned to the respective sensor, where each sensor is directly arranged in a reactive near field of the respective emitter unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for calibrating a high frequency transceiver with an electronically controllable planar antenna.
