FUEL INJECTION VALVE

A fuel injection valve having a valve seat member (3) provided with a circular conical valve seat (8) and a valve hole (7) penetrating through the center of the valve seat (8); a valve body (18) cooperating with the valve seat (8); and an injector plate (10) having fuel injection holes (11) that are arranged at positions radially displaced outward from the valve hole (7) and are joined to the valve seat member (3). An annular diffusion chamber (39) for communicating the valve hole (7) and the fuel injection holes (11) is provided between the valve seat member (3) and the injector plate (10). The diffusion chamber (39) has a greater diameter than the valve hole (7), and inner ends of the fuel injection holes (11) are opened in the diffusion chamber (39). Fuel paths (42a, 42b) are provided in the valve hole (7), and the fuel paths reverse fuel, which has passed the valve seat (8), in the valve hole (7) to guide the fuel to the diffusion chamber (39). The construction enables that, in the fuel injection valve, atomization of injected fuel is promoted and penetration ability of the fuel is improved.
