<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of backwardly exhausting high temperature air passing through a condenser, in the air conditioner having the local cooling function. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner has an outer cover 1 including a back face panel 5, the condenser 11 arranged on the rear side inside of the outer cover 11, and an evaporator 12 arranged on the rear side inside of the outer cover 1. The condenser 11 is arranged on the lower side of the evaporator 12. A vertical flow passage extending in the height direction is formed on the front side of the condenser 11 as an air flow passage of a fan of the condenser 11. An intermediate flow passage extending in the fore-and-aft direction by communicating with the vertical flow passage, is formed so as to include at least a part of a space between the condenser 11 and the evaporator 12. The intermediate flow passage is formed so as to reach the back face panel 5.
