DRIVE CONTROL DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively stabilize fluctuation in rotary speed of an endlessly moving member generated by disk eccentricity of an encoder.

SOLUTION: A controller part 40 of the drive control device controls the drive of a driving motor 32 via a pulse output device 37 based on a difference e(n) between a target angular displacement received from a target angular displacement generating part 30 and a detected angular displacement received from the encoder 31 via an output synthesizing circuit 700 (actually calculated based on an output signal of the encoder 31). The output synthesizing circuit 700 multiplies the frequency of the output signal of two sensors (positioned away from each other by 180°) inside the encoder 31 by 1/2, and synthesizes each of the signals multiplied by 1/2 and outputs them.
