<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system to perform a stopping operation rapidly with good accuracy, to start power generation in the state where the voltage of all unit batteries including sub-stacks indicates a normal value at next starting, thereby, not only starting function at next time, but also output and durability are prevented from deterioration, and also to provide a stopping method of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises: a fuel cell stack 1 including a plurality of unit batteries having an electrolyte membrane, and a fuel electrode and an oxidant electrode arranged along the electrolyte membrane; sub-stack voltage measuring parts 5a, 5b measuring the voltage of the sub-stacks 21a, 21b provided with the unit battery; and a control part 4 allowing a stoppage of the fuel cell system only when an average voltage of the unit batteries estimated by the voltage of the sub-stacks obtained from the sub-stack voltage measuring parts exceeds a prescribed voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
