<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of an entire system by receiving a result of executing a function corresponding to a disclosed service for an image processing apparatus on a network by enabling another image processing apparatus that can not execute the relevant function, to utilize the function. <P>SOLUTION: A search of disclosed services by an image processing apparatus connected to a network is instructed. Function information indicative of a plurality of kinds of functions disclosed by image processing apparatuses, connected to the network, searched based on the instruction is acquired. The acquired function information is indicated, and at least one function is designated from a group of functions based on the indicated function information. Image data read based on the designated function are transmitted through the network to a first image processing apparatus capable of executing the relevant function. A result in which the designated function is executed using the transmitted image in the first image processing apparatus in response to the transmission is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
