<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform miniaturization and to enhance the radiation efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A circular conductor plate 1 provided within an xy plane is provided with a meandering gap 211 and a straight gap 212, which reach the inside of a conductor from the contour line of the conductor plate but will not divide the conductor plate. Also, a conductor rod 3 is constituted vertical to the circular conductor plate 1, and the circular conductor plate 1 and the conductor rod 3 are prevented from coming into contact with each other by a circular gap 213. When an AC potential difference is imparted (power is supplied, hereafter) between the conductor rod 3 and the circular conductor plate 1, the conductor rod 3 is operated as a monopolar antenna for which the conductor plate 1 is a ground conductor. When power is supplied to the gap 211, it is operated as a notch antenna for which the conductor plate 1 is a ground conductor. By supplying the power to the conductor rod 3 and the notch antennas 211 and 212, radiation pattern of different polarization characteristics is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
