<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jaw movement measuring instrument capable of executing a measurement in a natural posture for measuring habitual chewing movement, shortening a measuring time including a time for installing it on a patient, and enabling a high performance measurement in not a large-scale measurement but a simple measurement. <P>SOLUTION: A 6-freedom degree jaw movement measuring instrument measuring X, Y, Z,Θx,Θy andΘz of the lower jaw relative to the upper jaw is provided with three or more light receiving sensors 3 having at least three light receiving elements in a rigid upper jaw supporting body 1, three or more light emitting elements 4, 5 and 6 emitting lights with at least different wavelengths to the rigid lower jaw supporting body 2, and a recorder recording jaw movement data.
