PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound separator formed by winding a belt-shaped continuous sheet of the separator for battery having ribs in roll-shape, on at least one face of which a plurality of linear main ribs are protrusively arranged in longitudinal direction, stable in wound state even if the diameter of the winding becomes large, hardly generating collapse of winding. SOLUTION: On the wound separator formed by winding a belt-shaped continuous sheet of the separator for battery having ribs in roll-shape, on at least one face of which a plurality of linear main ribs are protrusively arranged in longitudinal direction, the continuous sheet is wound in meandering state.
