<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit variations of distribution of prefix lengths included in a prefix set. <P>SOLUTION: This preprocessing method of prefix includes a process of degenerating a prefix length to a shorter prefix length, a process of developing the prefix length to a longer prefix length, and a process of storing a corrected prefix set obtained after performing the degeneration and development into a database. In this case, it is characterized that the prefix length of degeneration destination is dynamically decided on the basis of the maximum number P<SB>lim</SB>of prefixes storable in one prefix length, that the prefix length of development destination is decided on the basis of the maximum prefix length owned by the prefix before performing development and the maximum number of prefixes storable in one prefix length, and that the number of prefixes included in the corrected prefix set is smaller than the number of prefix lengths included in the original prefix set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
