PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a positional deviation of the irradiated position by laser light SL on a mirror 21 is not generated and the tilt of a sine oscillation axis is accurately corrected. SOLUTION: A mirror unit 20 which tunably supports a mirror 21 on the sine oscillation axis (first turning axis) is provided with a mechanism with which the mirror unit 20 is turned around a mirror normal axis (second turning axis) which intersects with the sine oscillation axis at a substantially right angle, along the central direction in the range of the oscillatory turning of the normal line of the mirror 21, and passing through the central part of the mirror 21 which is the irradiated position by the laser light SL.
