PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of a liquid level detection device equipped with a float. SOLUTION: This liquid level detection device 1 includes the float 2 floating on the liquid surface 91 of a liquid storing vessel 10; an arm 3 mounted on the float 2, for converting a vertical motion of the float 2 into a rotational motion around a rotating shaft; and rotation angle detectors 6, 7 for detecting the rotation angleθof the arm 3, and outputting an output value related to the position of a liquid level. The rotation angle detectors 6, 7 is constituted so as to output an approximately middle value between each output value when the float 2 is positioned at an equal distance in the vertical direction (θ=-90, +90) from the standard position relative to the standard position (θ=0) wherein the axial center of the float 2 is positioned at the same height as the axial center Z of the rotating shaft.
