PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake capable of suppressing an abnormal sound regardless of the positional displacement when fixing a brake and of the shape of a vehicle body side member. SOLUTION: A dust cover 22 is provided with swing-suppressing surfaces 72, 72 disposed on both sides in a plate thickness direction of a brake lever 44. When the brake lever 44 swings in the plate thickness direction due to vibrations or the like, a lever boot 56 is abutted onto the swing-suppressing surfaces 72, 72 so as to suppress the swinging. Since the swing-suppressing surfaces 72, 72 are provided to the dust cover 22, the relative position when mounting the dust cover 22 in the backing plate 22 can be easily adjusted. Therefor. a gaps between the swing-suppressing surfaces 72, 72 and the lever boot 56 can be accurately adjusted before mounting the brake in a vehicle body. Since the swing-suppressing surfaces 72, 72 are provided to the dust cover 22, desired swing-suppressing surfaces 72, 72 can be obtained regardless of the shape of the vehicle body side member to which the brake is fixed.
