PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor mat for an automobile with good sound-absorption property capable of ensuring sufficient quietness and exhibiting good slip prevention property relative to a construction underlayer surface, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the floor mat for the automobile, a non-woven fabric layer 32 is superposed/integrated on a lower surface side of a skin material layer 29, a large number of slip prevention projections 3 comprising a resin are projectedly provided on a lower surface of the non-woven fabric layer 32 mutually with a clearance and a resin-impregnated part 6 in which the resin is impregnated and fixed is formed on a corresponding position where the slip prevention projections 3 are formed at the inside of the non-woven fabric layer 32 while continuously contacting the slip prevention projections 3. In the manufacturing method, a mat body is arranged while the non-woven fabric layer is made to an upper side and the melted thermoplastic resin is poured into a cavity in the state that a molding die provided with the cavity for forming the projections is placed on the non-woven fabric layer.
