PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bubble generator capable of constantly preventing the backward flow of liquid toward a gas suction path in a simple structure. SOLUTION: This bubble generator is provided with a suction path 5 sucking the liquid, a gas suction path 10 jointly provided in the suction path 5 and sucking the gas, a discharge path 8 discharging the liquid containing bubbles formed by mixing the sucked liquid with the gas, a check valve 9 preventing the backward flow of the liquid in a prescribed place of the gas suction path 10, and a washing path 14 guiding a part of the liquid sucked in the suction path 5 to the gas suction path 10 and washing the check valve 9.
