PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound processing apparatus for achieving localization of click sound associated with a button without increasing the memory capacity of a sound buffer.

SOLUTION: A graphic controller 105 writes information of a size of video screen, display positions and sizes of buttons in an interactive graphic stream to a display information buffer 102, a processing section 110 reads the written information, reads a monaural sound of a sound ID made to correspond to a button subjected to UO (user operation) 170 from the sound buffer 101 and provides an output delay and a strength difference between right and left sounds to the read monaural sound thereby processing the monaural sound into stereo sound data localized at the position of the button and provides an output of the data.
