<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve information transmission performance by increasing the degrees of freedom of the imaging area of an imaging apparatus, and by making a video display area from the remote location side arbitrarily settable. <P>SOLUTION: A system (A) on site includes a mobile robot A3. The mobile robot A3 includes a projector 33 and a camera 34 mounted thereon. Further, an obstacle sensing and processing section 35 decides whether an obstacle exists from the photographic image input from the camera 34. Further, when the existence of the obstacle is decided from the decision, the direction of existence of the above obstacle is decided. Based on the decision of the direction of existence of the obstacle, the moving direction of the mobile robot A3 is decided.
