REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MEDIUM, REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING LABEL, AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD FOR THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording medium which has excellent coloring sensitivity, can perform the thermal head erasure in a wide range of environment from low temperature and low humidity to high temperature and high humidity and has excellent high-speed decoloration and reservation stability in an image portion, and to provide a member and a label having a reversible thermal recording layer and information storage portion or an image processing method for the formation and erasure of colored images to them.

SOLUTION: The reversible thermal recording medium comprises on a substrate a reversible thermal recording layer containing a reversible thermal composition which can form a relatively colored state and a state of a color being extinguished, according to a difference in a heating temperature and/or a cooling speed after heating, by using an electron-donating coloring compound and an electron-accepting compound.The medium uses a phenolic compound expressed by general formula (1) as the electron-accepting compound (wherein m represents an integer not less than 2 and n represents an integer not less than 7).
