PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control device and a communication control method, where image data can be transmitted, while ensuring frame synchronization by the use of an digital interface, such as a USB interface where a clock-adjusting mechanism common to nodes is not provided. SOLUTION: The communication control device is equipped with an SOF counter, which counts the reference timing for enabling a transmission device 117 and a receiving device 118 to possess a reference timing in common for making communications, a reading means which reads in the reference timing counter reading of the transmission device 117 from the receiving packets transmitted from the transmission device 117, and a loading means which loads the reference timing counter reading, read in from the receiving packets at the reference timing into the reference timing counter of the receiving device 118.
