PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention system that guarantees security in the event that a cellphone or the like constituting part of the system is lost and even if a legitimate user has erroneously operated the cell phone or the like. SOLUTION: A reception permission signal is sent to a facsimile device 5 by operation of a reception permission signal sending switch 18 provided at a locking device 3 installed on a door 2. A telephone number that is sent according to a sending operation on the cell phone 4 is recognized by the facsimile device 5 as a candidate for an unlocking operation acceptance permission signal. An unlocking operation acceptance starting signal is sent to the locking device 3 only when the telephone number received from the cell phone 4 matches the appropriate telephone number stored in the facsimile device in advance, and an unlocking operation performed on the operating part 15 of the locking device 3 is permitted. Acceptance of the unlocking operation is limited by the telephone number, and this limitation is combined with a propriety of the unlocking operation on the operating part 15 to release a door lock so as to provide increased security.
