PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the center of an imaging element with the optical axis of a lens more securely and highly accurately than a conventional back focus adjustment mechanism. SOLUTION: A plurality of positioning projections 54 are formed on a front 14 serving as a proximal means. Positioning through-holes 78 corresponding to the positioning projections 54 are made in a holder used to hold the imaging element. Specifically, the positioning projections 54 are inserted in the corresponding positioning through-holes 78. Thereby, the holder 16 is positioned relative to the front 14 and the center of the imaging element is hence positioned relative to the optical axis of the lens. Further, The holder 16 is provided with guide through-holes 76 into which corresponding spacers 110 are inserted. The spacers 110 are screwed to the front 14. Consequently, the holder 16 is attached to the front 14 so as to be movable in the direction of the optical axis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
