PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key telephone apparatus accommodating key telephone sets at least one of which is provided with an abnormity sensing sensor that can be utilized for a crime-prevention unit with an intruder threatening function. SOLUTION: In the key telephone apparatus comprising a master unit 1 and N-sets of key telephone sets 2-1 to 2-N accommodated in the master unit 1, at least one of the key telephone sets is provided with the abnormity sensing sensor. When the abnormity sensing sensor generates a sensing signal while the key telephone system is set to a crime-prevention mode, the key telephone set selected in advance outputs a threatening tone and a threatening light under the control of the master unit 1.
