PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology smoothly rendering an image-based animation by a practical number of photographs. SOLUTION: This animation generation system generating an animation by using a plurality of images of an object taken from the various directions is provided with a virtual space information generation means generating three-dimensional virtual space information including a camera path, a photograph condition extraction means extracting a photograph condition from the three-dimensional space information, an object photograph means photographing the object based on the photograph condition for obtaining a plurality of two-dimensional images, a three-dimensional object generation means generating a three-dimensional object by using a plurality of two-dimensional images, and an animation generation means generating a two-dimensional animation from the three-dimensional object by using the three-dimensional virtual space information.
