PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of stopping the function of a start lever device necessary, thereby regulating a game. SOLUTION: The game machine is provided with the start lever device 46 which is mounted to the the left side part of the front face wall of an operation plate. Depressing of lever shaft 47 after a coin is fed into a coin feeding port makes the moment of rotation of a plurality of reels constituting a reel device. The start lever device 46 consists of: the sever shaft 47 which can be rocked in a vertical direction when it is grip-operated by a player; a photoelectric sensor 52 for detecting rocking in the vertical direction of the lever shaft 47 by receiving of beams emitted from a light emitting part 53 by a light receiving part 54; and a regulation mechanism 55 which regulates rocking downward of the lever mechanism 47 by making a pair of upper and lower regulation bars 57 insert-hold the sever shaft 47 in a prescribed case.
