PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseptic power enhancer developing high antiseptic power even at a low concentration of an antiseptic agent, to provide an antiseptic power enhancing composition comprising the enhancer and to provide a method for enhancing the antiseptic power of the antiseptic agent. SOLUTION: (1) The antiseptic power enhancer of the antiseptic comprises an amphiphilic galactose derivative (A) as an active ingredient. (2) The antiseptic power enhancing composition comprises 0.01-30 mass% of the amphiphilic galactose derivative (A) and 0.01-1.0 mass% of the antiseptic agent (B). (3) The method for enhancing the antiseptic power of an antiseptic agent composition comprises making 0.01-30 mass% of the amphiphilic galactose derivative (A) coexist with the antiseptic agent (B) in the antiseptic agent composition.
