PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel state make up cosmetic containing the gel of pectin gelled with a polyvalent cation, colored uniformly by improving the dispersibility of iron oxide particles in the gel state make up cosmetic, showing a good removal from finger, etc., on its use and a good stretch on a skin, and further improved with the make up effect, make up durability and preservation stability. SOLUTION: This gel state make up cosmetic containing (A) 0.2-3 mass% pectin having 5-50% methyl esterification ratio, (B) 0.0025-0.75 mass% salt generating the polyvalent cation in an aqueous solution and (C) 50-97 mass% water, and also containing≥2 mass% iron oxide particles is provided with that the iron oxide particles are covered with silica. Also, the gel state make up cosmetic is provided with that the iron oxide particles are loaded on planer particles and the iron oxide-loaded planer particles are covered with the silica.
