<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional AV receiver has neither an apparatus nor a method for conveying to the user, that when an AV signal receiver tries to receive a digital AV signal containing a copy prevention signal, a normal AV cannot be output, if authentication fails because of some cause. <P>SOLUTION: The authentication sucess or failure presentation apparatus comprises a digital interface for receiving a digital AV signal containing a copy protection signal, an authentication device for performing permission/authentication of an AV signal output between the digital interface and an external apparatus, an authentication result display device for presenting the user the authentication result executed, and a control device for determining the authentication result and outputting it to the authentication result display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
