PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel inspection device of low cost having good inspection efficiency, capable of corresponding to a large-sized plasma display panel. SOLUTION: An inspection device 5 is installed along a conveyance passage 11 of a PDP manufacturing line. For the inspection device 5, illumination devices 2a, 2b are arranged at upside and downside of the conveyance passage 11, respectively, and cameras 3a, 3b are arranged at upside and downside of a conveyance passage 11, respectively. The cameras 3a and 3b obtain image data by photographing a panel 1 when the panel 1 is on an inspection position 12 of the conveyance passage 11. Further, the image data of the panel 1 is input from the cameras 3a, 3b. An image processing device 4 detecting the defect of the panel 1 by processing the image data is installed.
